TED talks
We love TED talks. New 2009 podcasts are now available for viewing and download.
A talk by Helen Fisher in 2006…about love…very intriguing!
Someday…
“And remember also,” added the Princess of sweet Rhyme, “that many places you would like to see are just off the map and many things you want to know are just out of sight or a little beyond your reach. But someday you’ll reach them all, for what you learn today, for no reason at all, will help you discover all the wonderful secrets of tomorrow.”(from the Phantom Tollbooth)
There is nothing better…
than a well communicated idea. Rives does so with intention and passion. Check him out and then send this along to someone who makes you feel good inside.
Mapping things…
…has always fascinated us …
Needless to say Stefanie Posavec‘s project has intrigued us since we first heard about it. In “Writing without words” she manages to visually represent text and show the differences in writing styles through her beautiful graphics.
Check out the site about her project and be amazed!
depth solitude
Jim shared this short film by Max von Sydow with me when we first met…It is a beautiful interpretation of isolation…
Enjoy!Lena
Jay Ryan via Notcot
Both Jim and I read NOCOT religiously…not only do we enjoy the way they have set up the Notempire (consisting of: Notcot., Notcot.org, Notcouture and Liqurious) but the content of their posts. If you are not already a regular visitor to their sites, check them out here…
One post from a while back that we found especially inspiring, was the one of Jay Ryan’s Posters. Check his portfolio out here!Gorgeous prints…definitely in agreement with the (echo)witness philosophy…appreciating art, nature and words in their simplest, purest forms…
