One of my biggest fascination in design is furniture design and the designs by Dirk Wynants are so simple, functional and so well designed…The Gargantua has adjustable benches that can be changed in height depending on social or family circumstance: for adults, children or as an extension of the table top. Seating for 8 and place for up to 12 people. If one bench is removed, people in wheelchairs can also join the table. See more of his designs here!
Making Future Magic is definitely what we call a beautiful merging of art and technology…created by Dentsu London, they “use photographic and animation techniques that were developed to draw moving 3-dimensional typography and objects with an iPad. Multiple exposures with slightly different movies make up the stop-frame animation.” Super creative and interesting…Read more at the Dentsu London blog HERE! and at the BERG blog HERE!Making Future Magic: iPad light painting from Dentsu London on Vimeo.
…Rejection never felt this good….We LOVE the idea of Project Never….It is a free awards competition created by graphic designers for graphic designers. According to them, “Thousands of effective designs die each day – often for good reason. At the same time, successful designers and agencies generate many worthy ideas for each project or campaign, only one of which gets chosen for wider audiences. Project Never honors the most creative design concept that never reached production.” Please find out more about them by visiting their site here!
Copywriter/Director Alec Brownstein was out of work and looking for a creative way to get noticed by the big players in his industry. His cunning idea was to create personal Google ads for the top NYC creative directors…His theory was that when they googled themselves, they would see his ad at the top of the page…At $0.10 per click, Brownstein’s ads cost him a total of $6 and got him four meetings and two job offers. Pretty damn brilliant. Check the video below:
